Brief Bio
Dr. Galina Feinberg-Gorenshtein is the Deputy Director of the Hemato-Oncology Laboratories at Schneider Children’s Medical Center of Israel. With over 25 years of experience in molecular oncology, she specializes in developing advanced molecular diagnostics for pediatric cancers. Dr. Feinberg-Gorenshtein earned her PhD from the Sackler Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University, where she investigated the role of miRNAs in regulating the ALK gene in neuroblastoma. Her research focuses on innovative methods for the rapid and precise classification of pediatric brain tumors using Nanopore-based methylation sequencing from FFPE samples. In addition to her research, she plays a key role in laboratory management and quality assurance, ensuring the highest standards in diagnostic testing. She has presented her work at national and international conferences and remains committed to advancing precision medicine in pediatric oncology.
